Srinagar, Oct 24: Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam Srinagar organized a seminar on education titled “Reformation of Society in the Light of the Life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)” at the central auditorium of Islamia Higher Secondary School on Thursday.
In his presidential address Mirwaiz emphasized the importance of societal reform based on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He highlighted that the foundation of a just and compassionate society begins with personal transformation. Quoting the Quran, he stated, “Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.”
Mirwaiz stressed the values of justice, equality, and mercy as the cornerstones of reformation, drawing examples from the Prophet’s life, including the Constitution of Medina and his acts of forgiveness during the conquest of Makkah. He called on the youth to actively participate in societal reform, reminding them of the Prophet’s trust in his young companions.
Mirwaiz urged the parents that they are the primary nurturers of morality and must guide their children to embody honesty, fairness, and compassion,” he said. “A strong home environment lays the foundation for children to become responsible citizens and agents of change.”
Students from several well-known private educational institutions across the valley participated in the seminar and expressed their views on the topic. Along with the students, scholars, intellectuals, notable city dignitaries and members of the Anjuman were also present.
In the competition, the first position was secured by Farwa Fatima from Tibet Public School Srinagar, the second by Farqana Muzaffar from Islamia Higher Secondary School Rajouri Kadal, and the third by Shah Aleem from Islamia High School Islamabad. Mirwaiz presented them with cash prizes, trophies and certificates of appreciation.
Abida Saleem, a student of Islamia Higher Secondary School Rajouri Kadal, who secured the first position in the science stream across Jammu and Kashmir this year, and Nadia Jan, who secured the fifteenth position in the 10th-grade exams across the valley, were also present. Awarded prizes and certificates.
The judging panel comprised Moulana Shaukat Hussain King, Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon, Er Mir Abdul Majeed and Muhammad Altaf Muntazir. The event was hosted by Moulana MS Rehman Shams, the editor of Nusrat-ul-Islam.

Mr. Mirwaiz, referring to the holy verse of the Holy Quran, said that Allah does not change the condition of a nation unless they are willing to change their condition.
Mirwaiz emphasized the importance of Islamic teachings of justice, equality, peace, mercy and human values for building a better society and society and said that the holy life of the Prophet of Islam ﷺ is the best example and a beacon for us in this regard.
In this regard, Mr. Mirwaiz mentioned the reforms and measures during the establishment of the Treaty of Madinah and the state of Madinah, and then the general amnesty to the opponents and enemies on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, and said that until we sincerely accept the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It is not possible to build a better society until you do not include the mentioned ways and good things in your individual and collective lives.
He urged the youth to take an active part in social reform and play a positive role by considering Prophet Muhammad as a role model for them.
Mirwaiz reminded all sections of the society, especially the parents, of their responsibilities and said that if they truly nurture and train their children and grandchildren according to Islamic teachings and enlighten them with high morals and Islamic values, then go and become a person. It may be possible to establish a better and welfare society along with home life.
Dozens of famous private educational institutions across the valley participated in the biography ceremony and expressed their views on the above topic. Apart from the students, scholars, intellectuals, dignitaries of the city and members of the association were also present at this stage.
In the biography ceremony, Farwa Fatima of Tibetin Public School, Srinagar won the first position, Farkana Muzaffar of Islamia Higher Secondary School, Rajouri Kadal, and Shah Aleem of Islamia High School, Islamabad, won the third position. Nawaz. Further, Abida Saleem, a student of Islamia Higher Secondary School, Rajouri Kadal, who secured the first position in the entire Jammu and Kashmir in science stream this year, and Nadia Jan, who secured the fifteenth position in class 10 across the valley, were also honored with prizes and certificates.
The duties of the judge were performed by Mr. Maulana Shaukat Hussain King, Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon, Engineer Mir Abdul Majeed and Mr. Muhammad Altaf Montazaar and the responsibility of Nizamat was fulfilled by Madir Nusraul Islam Mr. Maulana MS Rehman Shams.
